06 Jan Look Forward and Leap!

As the New Year dawned, I found myself on the phone with an Old Soul. Our conversation went something like this:

OS: So how long is the waiting list for your P4 program this year? What does that stand for again? Presence, Purpose, Passion, Power?

Me: Right, exactly. But we don’t actually have a waiting list. In fact, there are still a few last-minute openings.

OS: Are you serious? That doesn’t make sense. That program is one of the best ever for serious spiritual practioners. I thought you’d be running three or four concurrently by this point.

Me: Well, um…

OS: …What?

Me: I guess I’m not such a good marketer.

OS: Wait a minute! I thought you had a marketing background.

Me: Which is why I hate the hard sell so much. I can’t bear to send out pushy pitches.

OS: That’s kind of you, for sure, but then how are you planning to make your program stand out among all the other options out there?

Me: Here’s what I’m thinking. Just after the New Year people will be more motivated to create a breakthrough 2020. If they hear all about our yearlong program right then, one last time, maybe they’ll jump at the chance for a true community of transformation.

OS: How long do they have to apply?

Me: We’ll be closing enrollment in a couple weeks.

OS: What would they have to do for you to consider them?

Me: They’d have to read about the program at…

…and see if it sparks their heart’s longing. If it does, they’d need to send me a brief email about that. Then, we’d talk on the phone for about fifteen minutes. If they’re meant to be one of our group, we’ll both know. After that, there’s a little paperwork, followed by some plane reservations for the inaugural retreat in February.

OS: Are you sure you don’t want to throw in a premium, like a tote bag or something?

Me: Very funny. Not interested. But there is a small pool of financial aid available for those passionately committed but totally underfunded.

OS: Fine. Well I see there’s no persuading you. Good luck with your soft sell. May the right people respond right away.

Me: I know they will. I mean the program members already confirmed are an amazing and diverse group. Joining them is bound to be a once-in-a-life time experience.

About the Program

Many of us hunger for a community of support and exploration when it comes to our deepest spiritual healing, exploration, and liberation.

I’ve been leading P4 communities since 2005, so the process has had lots of time to refine and evolve — participants are so moved by it, and so inspired to continue, that we now have many alumni programs as well.
